On any given day, there may be 1 or more dogs "working" at Landscape Associates. We are a dog friendly company and can bring our dogs to work with us. Here, they can play, nap or sometimes even go out to the job site. It all began with "Mac." Landscape Associates owner, Gerry Andrews, wanted to get a dog but was concerned about leaving him alone so much while he and his wife worked. Someone suggested to just bring the dog to work. And so, the rule of dogs coming to work began. Gerry soon after adopted Mac, a Jack Russell Terrier mix, and he's been coming to work ever since. Mac isn't alone, though. He has other pupster friends to play with. There is Simon (Cuddle Bug), a Pug puppy; Rosie, a 1 1/2 year old Bug (Boston Terrier and Pug); and Bailey, an 8 year old Boston Terrier. We also have Titan, an 8 year old German Shepherd. The dogs are very people friendly, behave well and can be quite entertaining at times.

If a dog was the teacher, you would learn things like:
* When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. *Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. * Take Naps. Stretch before rising. * Run, romp and play daily. * Thrive on attention and let people touch you. * Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. * On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. * On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. * When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. * Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. * Be loyal. * Never pretend to be something you're not. * If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. * When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
